Breathpaw padded around the camp, letting the sun shine on her silver fur.

"Life goin' well?" She asked kindly. Breathpaw was in the mood for conversation. Any conversation. She'd talk to fish.

(OOC: Lighty, I hope you don't mind if I made Branchadder Breathpaw's mentor.~ )
Oh, great Stars--he'd slept in!! What kind of mentor was he if he slept in all the time?
Then again, he had stayed up extra late to guard the camp last night...
...That wasn't good enough of an excuse!!
Emerging from the warrior's den in quite the hurry was Branchadder. He gave himself the quickest grooming a cat could possibly perform, and then made his way toward his Clanmates with hurried steps. His meow certainly sounded angry, but only at himself.
"Breathpaw! Stop whatever you're doing and come with me! We have to go hunt!"

(Fine with me! XD) Breathpaw looked over at her mentor. She rolled her eyes, and padded over to him normal. Breathpaw meowed sarcasticly: "Well, good morning to you, Breathpaw. Good morning Branchadder, sleep well? Oh yes, the burrs were particularly comfortable last night; were you not the one to fetch them? Oh! How great you have remembered, and yes, thank you, I was. Well, how thankfull am I to have such an amazing apprentice! Really, Branchadder, you are to kind..." She kept her nose up, and started on her way to the hunting grounds. Breathpaw stopped and turned around, dropping the sickingly cheer tone she'd used and said in her normal voice, "You coming or what?"

The warrior may have pouted, but just gave himself a brisk shake before trotting off after her.
"Keep up that attitude and you'll never become a warrior..."
They headed out into the forest, and once a good distance from camp, Branchadder stopped and perked his ears up to listen. He could hear plenty of prey out and about; for example, it sounded like a vole was scratching away at the leaf-litter just a few tail-lengths away...
"Breathpaw," he meowed softly, gesturing with his tail for her attention. "Do you remember what I taught you the other day? That new stalking technique?"
He nodded in the direction of the vole. "Set to it."

Breathpaw nodded curtly to her mentor before her eyes darted to the vole. She made her way over, joints bent, shoulders ready to jerk, and tail out for balence. She was low to the ground, her light paws stepping like a dancer over the cold ground. The memory of yesterday's lesson flashed before her as she lept. The technique inclued using equal strangth of front and back legs to give you a nice speed that cut the air with silence instead of the usual leavy blow. Breathpaw swept her right paw slightly out and infront so it caught the vole like it was running into a net, snapping the neck.
Once she was sure it was dead, she padded back to Branchadder, the thing hanging pleasantly from her mouth, "Never going to become a warrior, hm?"

"Hush," Branchadder grumbled--but he was smiling pridefully.
After all, he had taught her that move, and he was more than glad that she was such a fast learner.
Glorystar had made a wise choice in pairing them up together.
"Here, we can cover more ground if we split up." He waved his tail to the side. "Why don't you head that way, and I'll go this way? Meet back here in a little while. After we bring the prey back, if you're up to it, we'll do some battle training."

"Don't want to get showed up by your apprentice, Mentor?" She teased lighty, "Fine then, I'll just have to show off to the birds...." Breathpaw trotted away, picking up the sent of a starling.

After one miss, Breathpaw caught two more peices of prey and walked back to meet Branchadder. She set down her three some of prey and waited impaciently; murmering random things to herself about how waiting was boring and how a real warrior could hunt well, but fast.
